INK has not dried up on the COP26 Glasgow Agreement, and Woodwood Energy has done a disastrous effect on the climate and economy by illuminating the Scarborough gas project, which is harmful to the climate and the economy.
The project – Australia’s largest new fossil fuel development in decades – will not only be unnecessary and expensive, but will also increase emissions at a time when the world is moving faster than fossil fuels.
The announcement comes after 197 countries, including Australia, pledged to avoid pollution in COP26.
Climate consultant Greg Born says: “Woods is trying to convince Australians that Scarborough is ‘pure’ when nothing is untrue. Liquid gas contributes significantly to global warming and reduces significant renewable and zero emissions.
Morison Government Net Zero It is clear that the 2050 commitment is designed to mislead and will always include WA gas expansion, NT and continuous coal exports.
“The International Energy Agency has made it clear that there will be no new coal, oil and gas if we want to limit global warming to critical temperatures below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
“Oil is on the way out. For economic and health reasons, Australian homes and businesses are running out of gas.
“Climate change and renewable energy policies continue to make renewable energy more competitive with gas. Expanding or prolonging the gas industry is completely against science.
