The Green Solar Academy in Africa is launching a Women’s Month campaign aimed at recruiting women to fill certain roles in the solar industry where employers are struggling to find suitable workers.
Over the years, the academy has tried to reach women directly, but the loading network – and the industry itself – has decided to employ men by extracting hidden gems, considering that 90% of them are male. , Wife or friend.
In a series of articles and professional drawings, Green Solar Academy wants to get the message out there that the sun is more than just the sun and that different activities in the sun and women bring different energy. And talent for certain jobs in the PV industry that can add real value to any business.
Instead of taking jobs from their male co-workers, female employers can fill in the gaps to find the right person for the job, such as finance, system design, management and sales. They also have the potential to increase the overall effectiveness of a company by expanding perspectives and adding a different perspective during negotiations and sales talks.
To support women in the industry, Green Solar Academy offers a variety of attractive incentives during the Women’s Month:
• Women receive a 30% discount on any course taken and paid for in August. The offer applies to all courses through December – people can choose the dates and places they agree on.
• Any woman who writes with a female partner will receive a 30% discount on that course.
The offers cover training on board, from the internationally acclaimed SuperSolarSchool Foundation course to the Advanced Business PV System Designer Course and the new PV Finance course.
There are challenging prizes for men (or women) in the hidden gems competition that encourage more women to enroll in the course in August. Rewards include free SuperSolarSchool participation or 1 year PV * SOL premium license over R24 000. The winner will be announced in early September. People can enter a competition by referring to a woman for training at the Green Solar Academy, and each additional referral increases the chances of winning.
