Todd Seibold receives MEA Life Sustaining Award

Thank you for your prompt response to save the life of a stranger.

MEA Energy Association (MEA) was honored by WEC Energy Group – Wisconsin Public Service gas utility mechanic Todd Sibold with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

While driving to work, he saw a young man running errands on the road. The man fell into a ditch, but before he could fall again, he got up and ran into a light pole. In the rearview mirror, Siebold called 911 because he noticed that the individual was not getting up a second time.

Seibol went to the scene to wait for the police to arrive. He turned his shotgun on himself when apprehended by a police officer on the porch of the house where the shootings took place. The young man was taken to hospital and police thanked Sibold for his actions. If the person does not get help, he will die of overdose.

“We are honored to present this life-saving award to Todd,” said John Gan Ghan, vice president of MEA.

Wisconsin Public Service serves Northeast and Central Wisconsin Electric and Natural Gas customers and has been a member of the MEA since 2008.

MEA Life Sustaining Awards are given to individual member companies that have saved the lives of others. Applications for the MEA Life Continuity Award have been reviewed and approved by the MEA Board of Directors. Read about all MEA awards at https://www.meaenergy.org/membership/awards/.
