New Delhi, August 29 (IANS) Central universities, ITs, and private higher education institutions are preparing to introduce the curriculum in accordance with the new curriculum itself (NEP).
Central University is working on new non-technical postgraduate (PG) courses that allow students to enter PG courses directly after graduation.
Motivation is based on the many entry and exit systems described in NEP.
IIT Delhi Director Professor V Rampapal Rao said some of the latest steps taken by ITI include the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence School.
Similarly, the IIT Delhi Department of Energy Science and Engineering has established a Transport Research and Injury Prevention Center.
He also said that PG programs and public policy in the field of electricity have started here, taking into account NEP.
Based on NEP, three new integrated courses are to be launched at Haryana Central University.
These courses will be available in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for 2021-22.
The new courses are B.Sc.-M.Sc Physics, B.Sc.-M.Sc. They include. Chemistry and B.Sc.-M.Sc. Math.
Admission to courses is through the Central University Common Entrance Examination (CUCET).
The university’s vice chancellor, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar, told IANS that the three courses are being considered in line with the new national education policy. Through this, students can study directly from 12th to postgraduate.
He said that these courses are specially designed, in addition to academic excellence and efforts to make them more focused and confident.
Dr. Foul Singh, the head of the CUCET-2021 nominee at the university, said the university will start these three courses with a chair in basic science.
The application process for admission to all three courses begins with other undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University and will be conducted through CUCET-2021.
Considering NEP-2020, there are plans to offer exit options to students under the new courses.
The University of Delhi (DU) is also not behind, new courses, especially new vocational courses, are starting in their colleges.
More than 30 DU colleges offer vocational training courses.
Delhi University Registrar Vicas Gupta said the new education policy would be very helpful in providing job-oriented education.
Various colleges at the University of Delhi will soon be offering diplomas and certification courses based on their new vocational courses.
According to the policy, the alliance with Indian higher education institutions has also been approved.
As part of NEP, SOMMET, a higher education institution in Switzerland, has entered into an agreement with the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) in India.
