Role description
About SWEE and C-DICE
According to the School of Water, Energy and Environment (SWEE), the Hub researcher works directly with Cranfield University and University of the Center for Infrastructure, Cities and Energy (C-DICE) led by Lowero University. The C-DICE team is formed by the University of Birmingham.
C-DES will focus on how to build and sustain the advanced skills needed to create a world-class pipeline for infrastructure, cities and energy (IC and E) accelerating the acceleration of zero-carbon society by 2050. Extensive research effort.
About his role
Developing Training Opportunities for Postgraduate Researchers: The role owner is responsible for reviewing postgraduate training courses in a C-DICE partnership to develop a training center. Working with partner institutions Your role will be market research to develop career paths and training opportunities for postgraduate researchers in the HE and industry sectors. Increasing post-graduate education opportunities relevant to zero training center function is central. Information is key to creating these opportunities. This includes taking responsibility for and analyzing training opportunities and needs, mobilizing skills around the C-DICE partnership, organizing learning events, and developing training methods in collaboration with industry and academia. The training center researcher is based in Cranfield and works closely with colleagues in Lawborough and Birmingham. The Training and Development Assistant Line will play an important role in supporting the development and promotion of various courses and learning experiences for academics and industry professionals.
about you
You will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, applied science, communication science and / or teaching. Ideally you will have a PhD, or a Master’s level of research experience, or significant industry experience in the subject matter for C-DICE. With excellent communication skills, you will experience post-graduate training / learning development and best practices and innovation.
Doctoral research experience is not necessary. However, you will understand the different roles and professions of post-doctoral researchers as well as how to develop and fund research in the UK A-HE sector.
