Taking it to the next level of training – IAEA course on innovation in rector technologies

The IAEA has been working with Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and the United States on nuclear innovation in the development of nuclear power reactor technology last month. The course, held April 20-23, will be hosted daily by a special institute and will feature resources, lectures and experiences from 18 young professionals from Indonesia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

During daily virtual tours at Sharjah University, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Practical Sciences, and North Carolina State University (NCSU), participants were introduced to a variety of WCR technologies, which provide rector training and education based on simulators. . Nuclear Reactor Simulators help users understand the basic concepts behind the behavior of nuclear power plants and their containers, including the most widely used types of paddle systems.
