Recipe: Lovers of fried food will love it – Hanukkah is here

For many people, potato weddings are a must for Hanukkah Festival, which begins on Sunday evening, November 28th.

But the oil used to bake these potato pancakes is for the Hanukkah kitchen. The oil commemorates the miracle of the festival. According to tradition, after the liberation of ancient Jerusalem, the little oil that was used to illuminate the eternal light in the holy temple remained miraculously replaced for eight days. So the Jews lighted up the Menorahs and anointed their food with oil for an eight-day break.

The potato produced in the New World was unknown in ancient Israel. People can fry other vegetables, cheese and bread. We plan to make roasted cauliflower, saffron tomato eggplant, cheese philo fingers and chilli fries for the holiday.
