Opportunity for energy-saving businesses to join the main Scottish framework
Charities and housing associations in the energy efficiency sector have the opportunity to bid on the national procurement framework.
The auction is now live Scottish Excel Energy Efficiency Contractors Framework – It is expected to generate up to ሚሊዮን 200 million a year in business opportunities.
Second-generation framework helps councils and other social landlords get the resources and services they need to implement energy efficiency measures, reduce emissions, alleviate fuel poverty, and create warmer housing.
The framework will last for four years and will provide an effective and efficient way to improve housing stock and redevelop the entire home.
It covers professional services such as energy efficiency designers, coordinators, reviewers, as well as textile measures such as wall, floor and ceiling covering, door and window replacement, renovation and roof repair and replacement.
It also includes heating, hot water and ventilation measures for electric and gas systems, and renewable and energy storage measures.
Julie Wells, CEO of Excel Scotland, “Sustainability is primarily supported by the new energy efficiency contractors’ framework for local councils and housing associations in their efforts to make environmental improvements that benefit current and future generations.
“The framework is designed to help social landlords provide warmer, more energy efficient housing, alleviate fuel poverty and improve housing stock targets to achieve national net zero goals. It will play a key role in supporting Scotland’s green recovery and I look forward to awarding the new framework.
The framework reflects the Scottish government’s warmth in building strategy.
Bids will be closed on October 8 and will be available for public contracts in Scotland.
