Ocean Technology Group (OTG) and Samson Rope have agreed to work together to develop high-performance man-made cable solutions and access Samson’s comprehensive online courses in cable management, control, production, and demand. And installation.

The courses are available on OTG’s Ocean Learning Platform, specifically to improve knowledge, skills, and behavior development through e-learning and practical activities designed to deliver integrated learning, exploration and competency management solutions.

Due to the travel restrictions, distance learning has become a norm for many sailors. In fact, many sailors are aware of the benefits of being able to get anywhere and everywhere.

The real-world 24-hour training provides information to staff and the latest best practices, helping to reduce risks.

“Collaborating with like-minded seafaring companies like Samson is our strategic vision for our learning platform. By opening up with producers, it will enable our clients to build integrated learning environments that will increase their efficiency in the classroom alongside the main library, ”said Raal Harris, OTG team innovation director.

“Samson’s commitment to supporting a wide range of productive eLearning courses is commendable, as most accidents are caused by a lack of knowledge about how to properly use the cable when approaching a ship. Attendance allows our clients to access the most comprehensive content on the subject. ”

“We are thrilled to be part of this initiative with Ocean Technologies Group. Presenting our courses on their platform gives us an amazing access to the marine community that allows us to access our training 24/7 anywhere. We are thrilled to be able to work together on a common goal to promote the efficient use of shipping lines and equipment. Will Pernnet, Product Owner – Samson Services.
