NV Energy is monitoring fire conditions in the Carson-Minden PSOM zone and the Public Safety Disruption Management Event is available for that zone from 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, and Wednesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. Affects approximately 500 customers.
This deadline includes estimating how long it will take for the weather preparation and staff to inspect for damage, plants, or debris to begin safely. Please note that the recovery time may change if weather conditions or staff require repairs to equipment.

PSOM is a key defense measure to protect the community and the environment from wildfires. When certain environmental conditions are met during a PSOM event, power lines or debris will be closed to safety lines and other equipment to prevent fires.
Affected customers are notified by phone, text and email. NV Energy will continue to monitor fire conditions and provide up-to-date updates. Customers are encouraged to have an emergency plan. This PSOM event can be corrected or canceled if the weather conditions change.
NV Energy at the Genoa Volunteer Fire Station, East Fork Station # 3, 2298 Main Street, Genoa, N 89441 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 17 and 8 p.m. It opens. Until August 18 until 8pm or until the power returns. The CRC provides charging devices, snacks, water, ice, Wi-Fi access and disconnection updates.
