ElderCollege offers online and in-person classes for the fall

Sunshine Beach Elder College is continuing its online course on Zoom this fall and is re-promoting in-person courses for some courses. The public is invited to view a preview of the courses at sunshinecoasteldercollege.ca. Registration will open on Monday, August 16 at noon.

Because age groups 55 and older are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 and variables continue to be a concern, return to person-to-class education should be done with extreme caution and follow all government health precautions and guidelines.

There will be a requirement for all coordinators, presenters and participants to be fully vaccinated – the evidence will be a card from immunization clinics – and masks are strongly recommended in indoor rooms. Participants will be given the opportunity to drop out of enrollment if public health guidelines are changed and enrollment is reimbursed if necessary.

Places on Zoom Plant-Based Diet; Social robots for mental health (free class); Introduction to regional districts; Artists in the studio; Annual Clifford Smith Memorial Lesson with Dr. Daniel Heath Justice – Stories as a Good Relationship – Together (and Coincidentally) Imagine Tragedy (Free).
