Construction on the new 25,000-square-foot shooting range will begin in the first week of October at 415 Industrial Blade, McKinney.

In July 2020, McKinney City Council approved a permit for Tom and Julie Bayer to bring their vision of the McKinney area to life.

The Firearms Region will be approved by the National Rifle Association for 18 Climate Controls and Pencil Filter Lines at 25 Yards, as well as 3,000 square feet of space for retail, arms rental, rifle and classrooms. Teachers teach training courses and private lessons. Kitchen is also available for home events.

Additional feature The McKinney area will be a simulation unit provided by InVeris Training Solutions, a weapons training system. The system features a 300-degree, realistic three-dimensional indoor and outdoor range that can support multiple, simultaneous training sessions for up to five participants at a time.

The McKinney area will also have virtual law enforcement systems for signaling and training modes for law enforcement, individuals and groups.

The mission of the “Region” in McKenney is to provide a family-friendly environment for new and experienced firearms enthusiasts who want to learn, practice and enjoy shooting sports, ”the statement said.

The McKinney area is expected to open in the summer of 2022 after eight months of construction.
