CCC sees registration numbers increase

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Central Community College has announced a total college enrollment of 6,056 by 2021 semester, up from 5,695 students by the end of the semester by the end of 2020. In total, there are 2,306 and 3,750 distance learning students on campus.

General enrollment includes campus and distance learning students at Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings, and CCC campuses in Horegon, Kirnie, and Leicester. Although some students have been enrolled in multiple campuses and campuses, college-wide enrollment numbers may not be duplicated, but campus failures may vary.

We continue to appreciate the flexibility of our virtual, hybrid and distance learning offerings in the classroom, ”said Dr. Matt Gothal, President of CCC. Early College has continued its strong growth in collaboration with more than 80 high schools.

Support for environmental economic recovery, health, training and technical sciences, business and academic transition courses and programs are all looking at student needs.

Increased numbers in health science courses, health information management systems, nursing, paramedics and pharmacy technicians. Training and technical science courses on enrichment enrollment include electrical technology, energy technology, environmental health and safety, heavy equipment operator technology, HBC and mechatronics. Business education courses such as math, criminal justice, entrepreneurship and media arts, such as education, English, math, physical education and speech, are on the rise.
