They are designed to do everything from port inspections to in-depth surveys, they can’t rely on a good internet connection, and the information is useless in its raw form. “These databases are huge, about ten terabytes,” says DiMare. “Traditional cloud systems are not the best way to manage 20,000 Sonar files.”
