Here’s a great idea for Halloween: COP26, the United Nations’ annual climate change conference. Yes, that means there have been 25 conferences before and we still haven’t played a role in the heart of the climate crisis.

This may bring terrible warnings about the condition of our planet, and the warnings may be of little concern to you. But it’s not all destruction and darkness. The creators all over the planet have come up with unique ideas to save the earth.

“There are start-ups that make a difference,” Gernot Wagner, a NYU climate economist and mayor of the Bill Delasio Climate Change Panel, told the Post.

Disposing of plastics from the ocean

The British pop band behind the song “Fix You” wants to shape the planet in collaboration with the company Climeworks in a 2022 “Spheres Music” World Tour, which aims to have a zero-zero carbon footprint. “What they’re doing is marketing the CO2 emissions. It’s great,” Wagner said.

“Yes, it’s too late in the game so it’s important to get Carbon 2 out of thin air,” he said.

“Roasted meat” – aka “laboratory meat”, produced in bioreactories using animal cells – was approved for sale for the first time last year by the regulatory agency. The UK-based Energy has released a RE: GEN fitness bike (about $ 2,700) that looks like a standard indoor bike without a rechargeable battery. Some of the most important innovations in combating climate change are boring, says Wagner. One of those boring — but crucial discoveries — could be the launch of Leap Photovoltaic, which claims to have found a way to halve the cost of solar panels used in solar panels – realizing clean solar power for tons more households. Instead of using the expensive silicon wafer used in most solar cells, the company converts silicon directly into cells, just like 3D printing.

It consumes less than 70% less energy and 90% less water, and uses one-tenth of silicon as a traditional solar panel. This, in turn, reduces the need to build factories designed to make solar panels, simplify the process, and open them up to many manufacturers.

The company started operations last year and hopes to serve customers like 2023. Like climate scientists, they are promising small revolutions.

“Amazing, let’s do that, let’s grow this,” said Wagner. “Basically, they are better than anything you can do to produce electricity.”

Prevent dirt from entering water lines – with bubbles

Scientists in the Netherlands have found an easy way to prevent even debris from entering the oceans.

The Great Bubble Barrier Plates shoots bubbles that prevent them from passing, pushing up other debris. The bubbles come from the bottom of the waterway, lifting the floating plastic. The “curtain” of the bubble is stretched at a diagonal angle, which uses the natural flow of the waterway to push the waste into the reservoir for proper disposal.

A.D. Launched in 2019 in Amsterdam, with the city’s famous canals, the wind all over the city, the main pools to catch all sorts of dreads. The bubbles are said to remove up to 80% of debris from waterways and prevent them from entering the open oceans and have no effect on wildlife or boat traffic.
